Each year, the construction industry recognizes Women in Construction Week, a time to celebrate the women who contribute their talent, leadership, and dedication to building the infrastructure our communities rely on every day.
Construction remains one of the largest industries in the United States, employing more than 11 million people nationwide. Yet women currently represent only about 11–12% of the construction workforce, and an even smaller percentage work in field or trade roles.
When you narrow that even further to specialized sectors like heavy civil and airfield paving, the number of women working in the industry becomes even more limited.
That is what makes the contributions of the women at Hi-Way Paving so meaningful.
Across our company, women play an important role in nearly every part of the business. From administration and accounting to human resources, project coordination, operations, and field support, they help keep projects organized, teams connected, and work moving forward.
Behind every successful project is a team working together to solve problems, communicate clearly, and support one another. The women of Hi-Way Paving are an important part of that effort, bringing skill, dedication, and perspective to the work we do every day.
Their impact goes beyond the projects we complete.
By choosing careers in construction, they are helping reshape what the industry looks like and inspiring more women to consider opportunities in the field.
The construction industry continues to evolve, and the contributions of women are an important part of that progress.
To The Women of Hi-Way Paving
THANK YOU.
This week, and every week, we thank you for the work you do and the example you set. Your dedication, professionalism, and commitment are helping move our company and our industry forward.
