Your Role as a Mechanic

As a Mechanic at Hi-Way Paving, your skills help keep our operations running smoothly. You maintain and repair equipment of all kinds, out in the field and in the shop.

Duties & Responsibilities: You’ll tackle the routine maintenance and emergency repair of our construction equipment, from diagnosing issues to fixing them.

Who You Report To: Working under the equipment superintendent, you’ll align on maintenance schedules, priorities, and inventory management.

Why You’re Important: Your role is critical to avoiding downtime and maximizing the efficiency and longevity of our equipment.

How much previous experience is required to become a Mechanic?
Hi-Way Paving requires candidates to have more than five years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic and at least three years of experience working with heavy construction equipment.
