Reconstruction of Runway 13/31 West at BNA in Nashville, Tennessee
Hi-Way Paving was contracted to replace a 3000LF section of Runway 13-31 at the Nashville International Airport in Nashville, TN. This project included the removal of an existing section of Runway 13-31 as well as the taxiway connectors and a separate decommissioned parallel taxiway. The underlying subgrade was either excavated to rock or stabilized where required, and new base course and concrete was placed to spec. New shoulder asphalt was placed, along with new LED lighting and signage, as well as underdrains and storm drainage. Finally, the new section of runway was diamond grooved and marked, flight tested by the FAA and opened to traffic.
